thelma and louise

That was the theme of Sarah's birthday high tea. Because yes, we love to get dolled up and drink tea and eat dainty food and twitter away with the ladies, but we also have a harder side, the part in everyone that likes to let loose, be free, and just say to hell with it all. Or something like that. Anyway, about 20 ladies came up to Hightor for a feast of sweet and savory tastings, tea, champagne, and of course bourbon. It was delicious fun. Darlin', look out, 'cause my hair is comin' down!

Home/handmade crème de cassis from our beautiful neighbors

Pasca made lovely labels to identify all the food

Girl Scout cookies straight from the states!

Everyone was in high sprits and festive garb, it really was a wonderful day

After tea and the movie, the crazy fun started. Dancing to loud music in front of the fire, really breaking into the Wild Turkey, a late night feast with some pizza delivery. Happy Birthday Sarah!

When all was said and done, Pasca and I cuddled up in bed and deconstructed the party, the food, the laughs, everything. A very happy ending to it all.
