working holiday

The day I spent at Hanging Rock, the men were doing some hard work clearing brush in anticipation of the upcoming fire season. I made it back just at the end of their work day and killed some time waiting for them to finish up by clearing a paddock on the farm and playing fetch with two adorable puppies. After five hours of cutting down, chopping up, and piling dry wood, it was time to light the bonfire, toast marshmallows, and celebrate a day's hard work. Yet more silly fun with Timothy, Valentino, and Fabio!

  1. Are you teaching them the American trick of roasting marshmellows...adding chocolate and graham crackers??? That's a really big fire to start them on!! You asked in your earlier post "what's up San Diego"? and it's looking like fire may be on our horizon soon also. Keep hearing about how hot it's going to be this weekend and they've put fire warnings up a few times already. Usually that doesn't start until after the summer, so I'm not too happy about that. Other than that, all is the same. Warm, up to 70's, daily. You would know that as in the low 20's there. We'll have a warm sunny Christmas just as I'm expecting you will too. Love, your goofy mom!
