happy new year!

Oh goodness. Still feeling like there's a haze over my mind from all the celebrating we've done the past few days. There was an awesome parade to ring in the new year down in town, then it was back to the house for a feast of tapas, sangria, cosmos, mojitos, champagne and wine, and finally my night ended with a big party at a pub in town with Rina. Lots of raucous revelers, great music, free-wheeling dancing, flirting, a kiss at midnight, it was truly perfect. Been feeling oddly lonely lately, even living with this family I love with all my heart and being wrapped up in their love every day. Blame it on spending the holiday season overseas I guess. Anyway, couldn't dream of a better way to spend my favorite holiday. Anticipating truly great things in 2014. Happiest of new years to you and yours!

On our way to the parade. Of course the pipes and drums played. They might be Daylesford's favorite entertainment!

The brass band also brought out their best

Do you know these faces by now? Papa with Pasca and Leilani

The sculpture club's amazing float

This drummer kept everything feeling lively

Pasca and I discussing something that was obviously of great importance

Stocking up on champagne and getting excited!

Walking around town and just having fun after the parade

Benson had a little situation with some shaving cream

Getting ready to party!

P.S. This is my 100th blog post! Crazy to think it, what have they all been about?! Thanks for following along, wonderful things yet to come!
