Yesterday Yuki and Yumi and I went to the village of Bowral for the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival. Sampled as much as we could, nabbed some freebies, hobnobbed with local chefs, and had a delicious lunch all while being serenaded by some local talent. Great fun.
We ended up with an hour to kill before catching a bus back to Picton, so walked around the town a little. Bowral seems to be the posh country village, with lots of boutiques, cafes, and bookstores (yay!). Downtown was fun, and then we stumbled upon the Corbett Gardens, in full bloom with tulips, flowering fruit trees, and all kinds of color. It is definitely spring in the southern hemisphere, and it is gorgeous.
P.S. This fleece is my life. My love. My everything. Thank you, Dad!
